Whether you are a family new to Edmonds-Woodway, or returning for another year, we in the Parent Staff Organization (PSO) would like to welcome you!
We have a very active PSO which works hard on behalf of all students to enrich their high school experience.
In 2009, the Edmonds School District had to reduce their budget by $12 million! Edmonds-Woodway High School alone has cut $138,066 from their academic/sports/music programs. This will affect all of our students in many ways this 2009-2010 school year. We need your financial help in all these areas! The AGC will fund extras such as class activities, field trips, equipment and special events which can make high school meaningful and fun for our children. The Edmonds-Woodway High School PSO sponsors many grants, projects and programs which otherwise will not happen this year. Over $17,000 in grants were given out by the PSO during the 2008-09 school year, thanks to each of you who contributed, and benefited nearly every department in our school. The Annual Giving Campaign (AGC) is the main PSO fundraiser for the year. Rather than sell wrapping paper or magazine subscriptions that take many hours on the part of parent and community volunteers, we have chosen this simple method of raising funds, 100% of which goes directly into the EWHS programs we assist. A donation of $50 from each family for this school year will raise enough funds to truly enrich every child’s experience at EWHS. If you are able to donate more to cover those kids whose families are unable to donate, please consider doing so. Any amount you can give will help all of our kids have an extraordinary and unforgettable experience this year. If you wish, your name will appear on our PSO website.
